TERMS AND CONDITIONS – EL ESTUCHE INK

Welcome to El Estuche Ink. By booking an appointment, submitting a form, receiving a service, or visiting our studio or website (www.elestucheink.com), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before your appointment.

1. Appointments & Deposits

• All appointments require a non-refundable deposit to secure the artist’s or piercer’s time and space.

• The deposit will be applied toward the final cost of the tattoo or service.

• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

• No-shows or repeated rescheduling may result in denial of future bookings.

 

2. Age & Identification Requirements

• Tattoo and piercing services are provided to clients 18 years of age or older, who must present a valid government-issued photo ID.

• Tattoo and piercing services may also be provided to clients aged 16–17, only with written consent from a parent or legal guardian.

• The parent or legal guardian must be present in person at the studio with the minor to sign the consent form.

• Both the minor and the parent or legal guardian must present valid identification, along with official proof of legal relationship.

• We reserve the right to refuse service if documentation is incomplete, unclear, or does not comply with Virginia state regulations.

 

3. Health Conditions

• Clients are responsible for disclosing any relevant medical conditions prior to receiving services, including but not limited to blood-borne illnesses, skin conditions, allergies, pregnancy, medications, or healing complications.

• El Estuche Ink reserves the right to refuse or postpone service if performing the procedure may pose a risk to the client’s health or staff safety.

 

4. Artwork, Designs & Intellectual Property

• All artwork and designs created by our artists are original and remain the intellectual property of El Estuche Ink.

• Custom designs are created based on client input; however, the final design must be approved by the client prior to the procedure.

• External artwork will not be tattooed without proper legal copyright authorization.

 

5. Results, Healing & Piercings

• While we use high-quality materials, appropriate jewelry, and sterile techniques, final results may vary based on skin type, placement, anatomy, and aftercare.

• Clients are fully responsible for following all aftercare instructions provided by the studio.

For piercings, the healing process does not depend on the studio, but on the client’s daily care. Clients must:

• Avoid touching, twisting, or removing the jewelry.

• Prevent impacts, pressure, or unnecessary movement.

• Maintain proper and consistent hygiene.

If a piercing becomes irritated, inflamed, or infected, the studio may evaluate and provide assistance; however, additional fees will apply depending on the severity of the condition and treatment required.

 

6. Payments, Refunds & Touch-Ups

• No refunds are issued for tattoo or piercing services, under any circumstances.

• Prior to the procedure, the tattoo design or piercing placement is confirmed with the client, and the service is performed only after the informed consent form is signed.

• For tattoos, one complimentary touch-up may be offered within 60 days, at the artist’s discretion, excluding tattoos on hands, fingers, feet, and other high-fade areas.

 

7. Studio Rules

• Minors are not permitted in work areas without proper authorization.

• Disruptive behavior, harassment, aggression, or intoxication from alcohol or drugs will result in immediate termination of service without refund.

• El Estuche Ink reserves the right of admission and service refusal.

 

8. Limitation of Liability

El Estuche Ink and its staff are not liable for:

• Allergic reactions or complications not disclosed prior to the service.

• Infections or issues resulting from improper aftercare or client negligence.

• Emotional or aesthetic dissatisfaction once the tattoo or piercing has been completed.
